About the artist
Anica Lin Jewelry is the creation of Anica Lin, an independent artisan with a compelling journey. Born and raised in Eswatini, surrounded by its natural splendor, Anica ventured to Chicago for studies in Studio Art and Digital Media Design, specializing in textile design and screen printing. Her exploration of identity as a Taiwanese woman from Eswatini led her to blend African and Asian influences in her patterns, shaping her unique artistic perspective.
In 2016, while in Australia, Anica discovered jewelry making, which became her sanctuary and creative outlet. She found solace in the meticulous process of transforming raw materials into refined pieces, sparking a newfound sense of purpose and direction. This passion led her back to Eswatini for an intensive apprenticeship under Zambian master goldsmith Mr. Mumba, shaping her path as a designer.
Anica’s jewelry embodies resilience and transformation, reflecting her belief in the power of reinvention. Inspired by the multifaceted nature of gemstones, she views life’s challenges as opportunities to evolve into something stronger and more vibrant. Anica Lin Jewelry celebrates this journey of self-discovery and empowerment, offering unique pieces that resonate with personal stories and cultural influences.
