A One-of-a-kind, handcrafted silver ring set with a natural, unheated, dioptase.
Dioptases are fascinating minerals.
They are one of my absolute favorites and are found in a few places around the world. They are rare minerals and interestingly enough are found mostly in deserts as the environment (the dryness of the deserts) and time they are left in the Earth provides the perfect conditions for the minerals to form.
According to the Hudson Institute of Minerology, a dioptase is a cyclosilicate mineral linked together by John-Teller distorted octahedral d9 Cu II (ions) (copper).
They form in the oxidized zones of copper deposits.

Multiple, miniscule crystal like structures protrude a bit from the ring that look as if they are glistening if looked in natural lighting.
